Quarantine Chronicles (4/4)

ohlay_little_rabbit_studio_collab_logo.png

While a lot of uncertainty exists in this time, Ohlay and little rabbit studio fully support Black Lives Matter and are doing our part to hold our government and law enforcement accountable for potent change.

We initially birthed Quarantine Chronicles to make sense of a world in self-isolation. As part of our commitment and allyship with the movement, we’re carving space for folx to unpack, share and explore. This week, we’ll combine the practice of creative and social journaling to take an introspective look into the duality of sadness and anger.

You’ll be sent a calendar invite closer to the event date. It will include a Zoom link to join the workshop. Please RSVP with a valid e-mail address.

By RSVPing, you agree to the following: I will approach difficult conversations with an open heart and mind. By showing up, I am making a firm commitment to do the hard work that comes with processing my experiences and emotions.

What’s creative journaling?

Creative journaling is an empathy-building practice that engages creativity through exploration and play, allowing space for unfiltered introspection and the discovery of authentic self-expression.

What’s social journaling?

Social Journaling is an evolving adventure in conversation, exploration, and engagement for building deeper, more meaningful connections around the subjects we care about. We are grounding conversations in a new way to spark new invitations and insights for the way we connect with ourselves and connect with others.

What to Bring

We encourage you to rummage around for colorful mediums you already own — pens, pencils, highlighters, crayons and markers. This practice is for all skill levels, from beginner to seasoned creative.

Your Hosts

Alex is a culture consultant and community builder in Los Angeles, CA. She helps build more meaningful connections within the workplace through social journaling. She’s a huge geek when it comes to people & community dynamics, collaborative growth, and challenging individuals to step into their “impossible.”

Alannah is an illustrator based in Los Angeles, CA. She makes art that inspires womxn to cultivate joy in their home and mind. When she’s not drawing the silly things in her head, she helps people discover play and art as a tool for self-expression and healing.
